HATH YOGA – Flexibility, Strength, Focus

I know of two brilliant ways to start a day:  One is switch off your alarm clock and go back to sleep another is Yoga. Although first one sounds amazing, but what’s more beneficial is yoga for health. Among the numerous kinds of yoga, I recently tried out Hath Yoga. This yoga is not only for weight loss. Here’s why I liked it. According to Hindu tradition, God Shiva is the founder of hatha yoga. It is a combination of physical basic yoga poses, mainly from Ashtanga, vinyasa, Iyengar. These practices are designed to align the body, relax the mind, and lift the spirit in order to give one an idea of one’s wholeness. Hatha Yoga is powerful structure to search the peace inside us and explore our full potential.

We shout freedom every second these days, without realizing that we a slave to society, stress, technology and whatnot. We have unfortunately let ourselves reside in a situation where the external circumstances mold and direct us. Whether it is insight from the world or ancient divine sayings, we get the whole point only when we are knocked down to rock bottom by life. With everything we go through, some of us become wise; while others become bitter.

When you understand the oneness of everything in your conscious, then you actually start yoga. To attain that harmony within you, there are many things that you can do. You first start the work with the body, move on to the breath, then to the mind, and only then can you assess the significance of your inner self. Hatha yoga is one such way of working with the body, a way of teaching, cleansing and preparing the body for higher levels of liveliness and potentials.

Hatha yoga should not be considered an exercise, though it has a lot to do with moving the body parts. Initial goal of Hath Yoga is to understand the mechanics of the body, balancing a healthier ambiance and then using body attitude to give you an energy drive. One needs to prepare the body sufficiently before one goes into more intense forms of meditation and higher levels of self realization. Hatha yoga ensures that the body takes it in the way it is supposed to be taken and experience the fullness of the whole divine concept.

Few types of Hath Yoga exercises for beginners are Surya namashkar, surya kriya and surya shakti, regular practice of which offer benefits to create a life free from friction. The hatha yoga in the world today brings peace, is healthful and should be regularly practices to ensure a meaningful life.
